Our leadership team is 'cognitively optimized.'

There IS a secret to a truly optimal team – to provide truly complete understanding for your business. It involves not just uniquely-smart people, but a complementary team that spans the continuum from a deductive, analytical thinking style, to the inductive, exploratory orientation (assessed via our own neuropsych thinking style assessment completed by each Alpha-Diver team member). We’ve applied this secret to build an optimal set of perspectives that work directly on every project we handle.

What is home time like with GP?

Home time depends on where you live - if you are from the Chicagoland area, you can be home more often than if you were from farther away. If you live elsewhere, there is no “cookie cutter” approach to home time – we do everything we can and work with you to make sure you get the most time possible. Please call our recruiting team at (800)work4gp to get information about home time for your specific situation.

What’s dispatch like at GP?

GP Transco connects a single dispatcher with 9 drivers on average. You will be working with one dispatcher who will get to know your preferences and work-style, while maintaining an outstanding professional relationship and having complete support from the office. Dispatch is available 24 hours, 7 days a week.

What kind of equipment do you use?

We use and Freightliner, Peterbuilt, and Volvo trucks no older than 3 years. Trailers are practically new, 2-4 years old on average. Our trucks include:

  • APU units,
  • Fridge,
  • Collision avoidance systems,
  • Lane departure warning systems,
  • Disc brakes,
  • Power inverters,
  • Double-bunk beds,
  • TV hookups,
  • WiFi hot spots,
  • And more

I have a C-pac machine – do you supply a power inverter that I can use with it?

All of our trucks either have an inverter or an APU unit, both of which can power your C-pac.

What are the benefits company drivers get?

Company drivers get great benefits - you can read about some of them above, or watch the GP Transco Company Drivers Benefits video.

What are the benefits GP Transco Owner-operators get?

Owner-operators who choose to drive with GP Transco earn 70% of gross profit, receive fuel discounts, and get a number of other great benefits (no trailer fees, ELD fees, tablet fees, no nonsense) - please see the Owner-Operator Compensation Packet for more information or contact us to learn more.

Does GP Transco provide health insurance to company drivers?

Yes. GP Transco company drivers have access to health insurance, dental, and vision.

Can I bring riders with me?

Yes. Riders must be 18 years of age or older and there's no charge for having a rider with you.

Can I bring pets with me when I drive?

Absolutely! And please send us photos of you with your furry buddy on the road - we love pets.

Do you have specific fuel stops for company drivers?

Our proffered fueling networks are Pilot and Flying J - these include free showers, loyalty benefits, and more. GP Drivers can use other fueling networks in emergency situations and fuel up to 50 gallons.

How often can I wash my GP Transco truck?

You can wash it as often as needed, just please contact your dispatcher about it first.

What about maintenance?

We provide all maintenance and repairs to company drivers at our in-house shop. Owner-operators are also welcome to use our shop for maintenance and repairs, and get priority service over non-GP customers.
